The long weld neck flange(LWN),also known as the integral flange,is a disc-shaped part that is mainly used to achieve the connection between the tube and the tube.It has been widely used in petrochemical,urban water supply and power systems.The long weld neck flange as a new form of steel pipe flange connection has been proven to have certain advancement and reliability, which plays a vital role in improving the productivity of steel tube towers and product quality.

Advantages of integral flange:

Because the long weld neck flange is an integral flange,the neck height is high,and the rigidity and load carrying capacity of the flange are greatly improved.Suitable for assembly line and automated production,the production efficiency of component assembly process and welding process has been greatly improved.Compared with the flat flange and steel pipe,the welding material is reduced,the welding work and labor cost are greatly reduced,the welding stress is reduced,the structure is not easy to be deformed,and the high neck flange is easy to install on site.It is more popular to omit the process of welding seams that are afraid of bruising.

Disadvantages of long weld neck flange:

The long weld neck flange is thin and has a large difference between the upper and lower sections,which brings certain difficulties to its formation. At present,the high neck flange is mainly produced by sand casting method and forging method,and the high neck flange used for UHV steel tube tower is produced by forging method because of high strength requirement.In addition,the axial shape asymmetry of the high neck flange is more cumbersome in terms of transfer,packaging and transportation than the flat flange.
