How to use the ASTM A350 LF2 flanges?
Normally the ASTM A350 LF2 forged steel flanges have weld neck flange, slip on flange, plate flange, socket welding flange, threaded flange, lap joint flange, reducer flange, nozzle flange, orifice flange types. They need to use the gasket bolt and nut to connect, apply to connect the two pipeline.Blind flange apply to the end of the pipe prevent leakage.
As we know, the material ASTM A350 LF2,are designed to work in low temperature. When they are used in piping system, the pipes and fittings in this system also should be low temperature carbon steel materials. We recommend use the ASTM A420 WPL6 steel pipe fittings and ASTM A333 Gr.6 steel pipes to connect.(What is ASTM A350 LF2 flange?)
To reach the standard and quality request, impact test is necessary for the ASTM A350 LF2 flanges. The lowest working temperature for ASTM A350 LF2 flange is -46℃.If the temperature is lower than this,we suggest to use other LTCS material. In ASTM A350 standard, there are other low temperature carbon steel materials.
The ASTM A350 LF2 flanges, also have two classes, class 1 and class 2,to different design, the flanges should be chose accordingly.Sometimes the impact test could be in other temperatures, such technical request also should be confirmed in advance to avoid further problem.
