This batch of flanges is made of two materials, carbon steel and stainless steel. The flanges all comply with the NACE MR0175 standard, which is designed to provide guidance on the selection, evaluation and limitations of materials used in environments containing hydrogen sulfide. Hydrogen sulfide is a corrosive gas that exists in some oil and gas production environments and may have a corrosive effect on equipment and pipeline materials. The purpose of this standard is to ensure that materials used in these environments have sufficient corrosion and wear resistance to meet industry requirements and ensure the safety and reliability of equipment.
