Another FPSO from MODEC will ship oil for the first time this year
On September 1, last year, the big ship group of China Shipping Group delivered the ANITA GARIBALDI MV33 floating production, storage and unloading tanker refitted for Singapore MODEC. This is the 16th FPSO provided by MODEC in Brazil, and the sixth ship since MODEC began operating in the Campos Basin in 2003. The fixed term of the modified ship lease contract is 25 years, and the shipowner is expected to ship oil for the first time this year.
The ANITA GARIBALDI MV33 project is a super-engineering with a design life of 34 years and a total weight of more than 100000 tons, which is refitted from a VLCC and designed in detail by the Design Institute of the Large Ship Group. Its designed operating water depth is 670 meters, its oil storage capacity is 1 million barrels, its daily processing capacity is 80000 barrels of crude oil, its daily processing capacity is 248 million cubic feet of natural gas, and its daily production water injection capacity is 390000 barrels. It will serve in the Brazilian offshore oil fields in the future.
